Pizzoodles Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and the value. We kept it to basics. grace had a chicken Francaise dish that was just the right size and I had a veal parmesan sandwich. They're homemade coleslaw was good and the noodles and grace is dish with perfectly cooked. We are never been there before im sure will go back.

The food was fantastic! Do not leave without trying the garlic knots! Super flavorful!! The pizzas are tossed in house and we're superb! Small unassuming restaurant, but well worth it! Try the chocolate cake too!

Family really enjoyed the nice pizza and warm service here.

  • William S.

We have been to this place a number of times now and all I can say is AWESOME!! Each time we have gotten something different and each time it has been delicious. The garlic knots are the best anywhere, as is the pizza. We have shared lasagna, pizza, fish, etc., etc., and it is always hot, flavorful, not too heavily spiced and I would venture to say terrific. That is going some if you have read my other reviews. Check it out...you will have a good experience.

  • Marley S.

We got the garlic knots and they were great. We ordered a Greek salad which I didn't love, the hubby did though. Supreme pizza was good! Great service!

  • Cinzia B.

Just ok! I had the margarita and my hub get the mushroom one, just another american place that make the "italian's(gringo) pizza. Not bad, no perfect.

  • Randy T.

Best garlic knots we've ever had. Pizza and Shrimp Penne were very good as well . Only downside is it smelled a bit musty inside. Definitely will be returning.

Not to brag or anything but I'm pretty much a pizza connoisseur and this place lands in top 5 pizza places I have ever had the privilege of drooling over. If you like your pizza like I do, thin, lite sweet sauce, lots of cheese and toppings, this is your place. We ordered take out, but I almost wish we would have dined in after seeing the place. It's a great setting with great ambiance, servers were joking with patrons, everyone's glass was full, it just seemed like the place to be. If you have a week stomach when it comes to yummy grease, you might want to go with a lighter option because they spare none on the pizza. But then again, isn't that what pizza is all about? They have a long list of toppings and are great at accommodating. Turn around time is fast and service was more than friendly. Definitely will be coming back here

In my opinion, the best casual Italian in the county. Staff is great and eager to please.

  • Gerald H.

Excellent pizza. I particularly like the MeTsaPizza. We go there often and have always have a terrific meal and great service. Salad is always fresh and Italian dressing is delicious. Highly recommend for any Italian food.

Was in the mood for pizza, so turned to yelp and found this little gem. We started with an order of stuffed mushrooms and an order of garlic knots. Got three good size shrooms which were filled with a sausage stuffing and sitting in tomato sauce. They were good but filling. We then had pizza which was excellent. Thin crust, piping hot and perfect ratio of cheese and sauce. Had a delightful waitress, who was doing everything from taking order, cooking and serving. One of those places that make you feel welcome, and they seem to care. Had a pretty good wine list as well as beer. Would rush back.

  • T.A. H.

Love the pizza by the slice. Top it your way...or not. It's so nice and crispy. Beautiful thin crust...yummy yum.

  • Steve B.

I often passed this place and it always smelled wonderful so I decided to stop in one night and get a plain cheese pizza to go. I always get a plain cheese pizza to judge. I'll tell you it's up there with the best pizza I've ever had! Very reasonable for the quality too. Will be enjoying more often

  • Alicia H.

We had a great meal here tonight! Great food, atmosphere...the garlic knots are fantastic!! We all had pasta which was great...pizza looked terrific. Next time I want to go for that...either the Alfredo or BBQ chicken! Will definitely be back!

  • Rebecca B.

This place has fantastic pizza by the slice. I highly recommend this place for family dining. My daughter and hubby (& I) loved it so much all other pizza places have paled in comparison since our visit to Vero Beach 2 years ago. Seriously go to Pizzodles, grab a slice. You won't be sorry. Yum!!!

    (5)
  • Kara P.

I have looked for a good pizza place in Vero for several years and Pizzoodles is definitely the one. It is not exactly as good as pizza in New York or New Haven but it is good for Vero Beach. The crust is not too thick or too thin and it is pretty tasty. The meals are also really good.

    (4)
  • Marc C.

The service was outstanding. The food was fresh and had great flavor. I'd recommend Guy from triple D to give this place some national exposure. Next time I want to try a pizza.

    (5)
  • Jean C.

Excellent place. Whole family enjoyed it. Pizza, ravioli, chicken and veal parm were great. The mountain of onion strings was the big hit and was delicious. Friendly service and a wonderful meal.

  • S G.

We found this when staying in Vero Beach. We had 7 people, some picky some not. this place had it all. Great food all around. Best Garlic Knots ever! We had no problem getting seated, no problem finding something on the menu for everyone. There only downfall is that its 14 hours from home. Great Service, Great Food, highly recommended!

  • Larry D.

Makes an excellent NY style pie. Nice blend of cheeses. Garlic knots are the best I ever had. You definitely can't stop at just one. They will ruin your meal if you don't have self control. They are that good. This is not just a pizza joint. The entrees are well worth considering. My only complaints are that the place is small and it's always packed and they need better wait staff. But poor service won't keep me from this place.

    (4)
  • Annie B.

Can't say this pizza was the best I have ever eaten! Crust was soggy and the pepperoni was not the tastiest. The atmosphere was quaint. Will give it one more try, but not the pizza.

    (2)
  • Tom D.

Great place. On vacation visiting my parents in Vero Beach. We went to Pizzoodles and had a great meal. I had the spaghetti with pesto infused chicken meatballs and asiago/tomato sauce. Wonderful!

    (5)
  • Pouyan M.

Best Pizza in Vero Beach hands down. Prices are between 16 to 20 dollars for a large but omg well worth it. Nice place to go on a date, cool setting inside with lots of tables to dine, but it gets packed on the weekend so get in early. Plus after you eat you can walk next door and have a cocktail or two. 4 cheese pizza is a must try.

    (5)
  • Arielle G.

Really good food, reasonable prices for the food. The specials are always interesting and really good. Check it out!

Good food and service at moderate prices. Nice bistro type atmosphere. Ate there with a party of six and everyone enjoyed their dinner.

Amazing! As a New Yorker who loves Italian I can say with confidence that this little place will not disappoint. If you are looking for a good spot with some killer good grub, look no further, Pizzoodles is the place to be!! Try the Angel Hair onion rings they are fantastic! Also, the Baked Penne is out of control good!! Go here! You will be wishing you had gone sooner!!

  • Ryan O.

This little Italian establishment was very good. We ordered the garlic knots as it seemed to be a top pick from yelpers. They were very good but just note they are very oily. I got the Greek Pizza and the wife got the Ravioli. Both were tremendous and would order both again in a heart beat. The people sitting right next to us got the meatballs with their pasta and they simply looked amazing. This is a great place to eat as we will be going back again soon.

    (5)
  • John S.

As good as advertised. Got a large pizza for 4 people, and had enough for 1 more person. The flavor was good, although the garlic on the pizza was bitter and overpowering.

All I can say is OMG!!!! I guess I went in with higher expectations by reading reviews.. I thought this would be a good place.. I walked in right behind another lady. She was seated immediately. The waitress /hostess did not greet me but continued about her other business with seated patrons. The restaurant was about 2/3 full around 12:20. I was thinking maybe she's having an off day.. 10 min later she asks me if I'm placing a to go order..as she sees me looking at the menu. She said she'll be with me in a minute. About 5 min later she takes my order . I asked what slices were avail to go, she said anything I wanted. I order 2 slices of margherita and the mozzarella / tomato salad. Her 7 year old granddaughter brings me a diet coke it is too full dripping all over the place.. A patron hands me a napkin and I go outside to pour some out.. No biggie. Kid is cute and I giver her a buck fifty. Seems like I'm waiting awhile.. About 1/2 hour later waitress comes to my table ( I was never offered a seat but finally seated myself).. She says my total is 20.63 .. I didn't think much about it but gave her my debit card, at this point I'm in a hurry.. Today I had to eat on the run .. This pizza was a huge disappointment!! The crust was paper thin and so soggy it dropped juices all over and fell.. I finally got it in box by folding it over .. I ate it later. Bland, no doubt the ingredients were probably quality items but it had no flavor and that coupled with a completely wet soggy undone crust with borderline burnt outer crust does not make for a good lunch. I later look at my receipt to see what costs over $20, and I have the wrong receipt . I call, they say she'll get back to me. About 25 min later she calls back.. No apology just "I charged you 20.63 and your total was $20.11. " I asked how much the slices were , she said the specialty pizza is 4.50 a slice! This is a basic margherita pizza slice and a pretty bad one at that.. Truly I think Dominoes would have been. I asked her if she was the owner and she is (also the server I had) Very surprised at how she handled this. Out of all reviews this has to be the most disappointing .. I do see they own another restaurant in Vero.. I've been there and gave it good reviews. The little girl was a sweetheart. I know many places that blow this pizza away for less than half the price. Had kind of a weird feeling when I entered this place, it should have been my signal to leave. Was most surprised that owner was one who served me and also handled callback.

  • Tom C.

Quite possibly THE worst pizza I have ever eaten. Seriously, Dominos or Pizza Hut look like 5 star by comparison and that is no compliment. Horrible crust, almost inedible toppings. Buy a frozen pizza from Publics and you'll do better.

  • Jennifer B.

Came here on a Sunday night. The service was friendly and attentive. The house made mozzarella was delicious. I really liked the garlic knots and mini cannolis for dessert. However we thought the pizza was just ok and a bit greasy.

  • Jose H.

This place had the phenomenal idea of adding spaghetti to pizza! #mindblown.... amazing. At first I looked at it and was like what is going on here, then I took a bite and I instantly became a huge fan. It's a family owned and operated joint so customer service in onpoint. I cant wait until I go back to vero beach to try some more of their stuff!

  • Bernie M.

Each time we go for dinner we order their pepperoni pizza which is delicious. Also have their antipasto salad which has just the right amount of dressing and is loaded with Italian meats and cheeses. Their garlic knots are the best in a tasty olive oil. Also tried their mussels which were OK, not great.

  • Jim E.

This review is on the pizza at Pizzoodles, the service was great, fast and friendly! The pizza was new york style, thin, soggy crust, just like every other pizza resaraunt in the entire area. The flavor was decent on the supreme, but by the time the pizza was cold it was so soggy and greasy it was inedible . The crust was not cooked all the way on either pizza, and it measured less than 1/4 of an inch thick at the thickest point. (Had to eat with a fork and knife since it was falling apart) I cant understand how anyone likes their pizza this way, we too the rest of the pepperoni and supreme pizza home, and attempted to heat it up the next day. (Since somehow we spent 65 dollars on two pizzas, we figured we wouldnt throw the leftovers away) one bite of the disgustingly soggy leftovers was enough to throw the rest of it away. In short, its nothing different from the rest of the new york style pizza places that litter this entire area. I wish sombody would open up a decent pizza place that didnt cater to new york and new jersey ONLY! We wont be returning.

After reading good reviews, headed in for some pizza. Small but cozy and busy little spot. Ordered supreme pizza. Took average time to get it. Served it up, and ugh. Cold pizza! And soggy. Asked waitress (which there was only 1), re these claims. She took pizza back to kitchen to "crisp it up". Offered excuse of "when u order a supreme w many toppings, they get soggy". Hmmm. After a bit brought back our now, very black and still soggy pizza. It was now nice and hot, but cheese and crust were blackish. Asked for water refills, and got them delivered with the bill. Not sure I will be back.

We just ordered this amazing pizza and garlic knots based on reviews here on yelp- easily worth the 5 stars - we did take out so I cannot comment on service but the food was amazing the knots are buttery doughy and garlicy in the right proportions though 6 is more then enough to feed 2 people the pizza is some of the best I've found in Florida having traveled quite a bit for work. Easily worth your money as some fantastic food

  • Matt B.

Get the knots and enjoy the oily, warm, soft goodness of fresh baked bread. Pizza is very solid - NY quality for sure. I was particularly impressed with the white pies (no red pizza sauce). Definitely more than I was expecting from this pizzeria in a small town. Strongly recommend!

  • Sergey S.

Absolute disaster. They advertise that they deliver, they do not. You give them the entire order and pay for it then they tell you pick it up in 35 min. After getting there 40 min later, they inform you that it will take another 25 minutes. DO NOT EAT HERE, worst place ever and worst food as well as customer service. First time in Vero and thought I picked a good spot, complete bust.

So good! The Italian sub is the best. The food has been very fresh and your staff is so nice.

  • SO S.

Oh yeah baby...great pizza in a little hole-in-the-wall spot. Eat in or take out. We ate in the resturant which is cozy casual and comfortable. We ordered the "loaded" large pizza--delicious! Really nice wait staff and you can see the pizza chef twirling the dough up in the air for the perfect crust.

  • Ann S.

Walked in from the pouring rain to order a pizza to go. Great customer service, they delivered to my car! Pizza was amazing, just what we needed on a soggy day. Garlic rolls were a little greasy (hence 4 stars, not 5) but still very tasty. If we ever make it back to Vero Beach, will definitely visit this place again!!

  • Howie A.

One of the better pizza places in the area. I love any of their pizzas and pasta dishes. The place is small and at times you may feel crowded in during the Fri/Sat nights especially in the winter months. Other than the small dining area this place is tops. On a side note the Verizon cell phone service hardly works inside.

After driving from Maimi this afternoon, we stopped at Pizzoodles for a salad and pizza to share. The tomato/fresh mozzerella salad was interesting in appearence and was good. The pepperoni and onion pizza was very good, but I have had better. Service was very good.

  • Luci B.

This was the best place I ate at in Vero Beach! The garlic knots alone were just so, so damn good. They come in a bowl with an herb butter olive oil Parmesan garlic mix. NOM. I cut them up and had them soak in the mixture before savoring each bite. All garlic knots in the world should be served this way, trufax. My table also ordered the mussels in white wine and the mussels in marinara. All the mussels were fresh, but I preferred the wine mussels. The marinara version was supposed to have some wine in it, but you couldn't taste it and the sauce overpowered the taste of the mussels. I also ordered the angolotti. Ravioli with cheese, veal, spinach, asiago cream and tomato sauce. This was delicious. It was a little hard to pick out the spinach and veal from the ricotta in terms of flavor, but they must have been there because these were special, and the asiago was the perfect choice.

We enjoyed the service, and the food was exceptional as usual. I had pasta with ground sausage, and beef, with tomato sauce, and it was outrageously great!

My boyfriend and I love the pizza here. It's a really good price for the size of pizza you get and the service is pretty good. Definitely check them out :)

Wow! We had to wait. Small local strip mall family owned joint. Pizza! Pasta! Garlic knots! You watch the pizza being thrown. You smell ingredients. You eat heaven. Worth the wait. Great staff. Watch for lineups tho. OMG! Great. Enjoy.

This pizza is awesome. It's as close to Jersey pizza you can get. Funny, the chef has family in north Jersey. Do get the broccoli, so good we got a second order.

  • Kristina P.

Hubby and I went here for the first time last week for our anniversary. Our waitress was a little awkward, not really welcoming us, just asked us what we wanted to drink, and we ordered the garlic knots. The reviews were dead on about the garlic knots! Best I've ever had! When she came back to take our order, when my husband asked if the meal came with salad or bread, she told him, "this isn't Olive Garden" Hubby ordered a salad with sun dried tomato dressing. When she brought it, it was horseradish. I ordered the chicken parm, and it was delicious! And good portion size! Would have given 4 stars if not for the waitress and mistakes.

  • Damon D.

Silly name; great food. Pizzoodles is a *very* popular restaurant downtown. We weren't really sure whether the superlative reviews were due to there being a lack of choices in Vero Beach, so we approached our visit here with some trepidation. It turned out that our concerns were completely unfounded and we had a very nice meal here. - Pizza: 4/5. Way too much cheese since we think our server forgot to tell them to not double up on the cheese when we ordered our pizza with the homemade mozzarella. - Garlic knots: 5/5. What's (k)not to like about crispy baked dough balls in garlicky olive oil? - Tomato and mozzarella salad: 2/5. The mozzarella is nice, but it's too dry for this application. It's perfect for pizza, though. - Fried ravioli: 5/5. OMG! Perfectly crisp, not at all dry our doughy. The tomato and béchamel sauce that went with it complemented it perfectly. - Service: 4/5. It would have been 5/5 had she caught the problem with our pizza having WAY too much cheese.

After landing in Orlando and a drive over to vero beach, yelp directed us to this absolute gem! Days later we are still raving about how much we enjoyed our pizza at pizzoodles. Started with garlic knots which were steeped in olive oil and garlic goodness. We ordered a salad for good measure that was heavy on toppings. Then the piece de resistance. Our ultimate pizza creation: half chicken parm pizza and half oodles of noodles pizza. Both were fantastic - especially with a side of marinara. The oodles of noodles, which should be renamed "the pizzoodle" as a signature dish, is a pizza with spaghetti and meatballs on top with melted mozzarella. Service was authentically Italian friendly, prompt and down to earth. Would definitely go back again!

Q & A on

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
